The Tenth ESM 2006 will
return home to the beautiful mountains of Bavaria, Germany,
where participants will experience scientific presentations
and workshops, an active outdoor day, Bavarian hospitality,
and the final evening
banquet including the presentation of the 10,000 Euro
novel award for the best
scientific work in pressuredistribution measurement.
ESM 2006 will be held July
25 - 28, 2006, in conjunction with the Munich hosted
World Congress of Biomechanics (July 30 - August 4,
2006). ESM 2006 will be located at ArabellaSheraton
Alpenhotel at Spitzingsee, located one hour south of
Munich, in the Bavarian Alps.
Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in
both meetings and enjoy Bavaria for a while longer.
ESM 2006 will start with hands-on workshops Tuesday,
July 25, 2006 followed by the Welcome Reception at 17.00
in Storms´ Art Gallery, Munich, Germany. Buses
will transport attendees to the conference venue after
the Reception.

The novel 2006 award, with
a prize of 10,000 Euro, will be presented for the best
scientific manuscript in the field of dynamic pressure
distribution analysis. The paper must be entirely original,
not published at the time of the meeting in any journal
nor submitted for publication to any journal or book.
The paper must describe a scientific study including
pressure distribution measurement. Deadline for submission
of abstracts is Feb 28, 2006. Six of these abstracts
will be nominated for the novel
award by April 1, 2006.
The nominated authors will be requested to send a full
length (25 page maximum, double spaced) paper by June
15, 2006 and will present the paper at the meeting in
a 30 minute talk. A blind review of papers will be conducted
by a prominent panel of experts. The novel
award will be presented to the winner at the

Abstracts for oral and poster presentations in the field
of pressure distribution measurements not participating
in the novel award must be submitted by Feb 28, 2006.
Participants will be informed of acceptance of presentations
by April 1, 2006. Awards for the Best Poster and Best
Presentation will also be presented. Each award will
be to the value of 500 Euro.
